Product Specific Information

Description:
The HIS51 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat CD90 and cross-reacts with mouse CD90.1, a GPI-linked membrane molecule. In the rat, CD90 is expressed by hematopoietic stem cells, immature B cells, thymocytes, recent thymic emigrants, neurons, inflamed endothelia, and other cell types. In CD90.1-expressing mouse strains (PL and AKR), CD90 is expressed by early hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow, thymocytes, and mature T cells.

Applications Reported:
This HIS51 antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of rat splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.06 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may vary (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize titration for best performance.

Fluorophore Information:
APC-eFluor 780 emits at 780 nm and is excited with the red laser (633 nm). Ensure instrument compatibility.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and compensation. Clone-specific performance should be validated empirically.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts. Thy-1 may play a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other events in the brain.
