Specific binding has been demonstrated by immunoprecipitation with c-erbB-2 oncoprotein from SKBr3 cells. A positive control of breast adenocarcinoma is recommended.
Target Information
ErbB2 (HER2) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that is overexpressed in some breast tumors. Herceptin, used in treatment of metastatic Her2-positive cancer, is a monoclonal antibody targeting this kinase.
