ERp72는 소포체 내강의 스트레스 단백질로, 단백질 이황화 결합 이성화 효소(PDI) 계열에 속합니다. ERp72는 PDI와 세 영역에서 서열 유사성을 가지며, C-말단에 ER 유지 신호 KEEL을 포함합니다. 또한 CGHC 활성 부위를 세 개 포함하고 있으며, 이는 단백질 이황화 결합 이성화 과정에 중요합니다. ERp72는 CGHC를 포함하는 단백질 계열의 새로운 구성원으로서 분자 샤페론 기능을 수행하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
