Target Information
NTRK3 (TRKC) belongs to the neurotrophic factor family of related polypeptides that are central to the development and maintenance of the mammalian nervous system. Known substrates for the TRK receptors include SHC, PI-3 kinase, and PLCG1. The different isoforms exhibit distinct signaling properties. The protein is widely expressed, mainly in nervous tissue. Isoform B is expressed at higher levels in the adult brain compared to the fetal brain. TRKC undergoes ligand-mediated auto-phosphorylation and contains two immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and two leucine-rich (LRR) repeats.
