Target Information
Serine/threonine-protein kinase that converts transient diacylglycerol (DAG) signals into prolonged physiological effects downstream of PKC. Involved in regulation of MAPK8/JNK1 and Ras signaling, Golgi membrane integrity and trafficking, NF-kappa-B activation, cell migration and differentiation, and ERK1/2-mediated proliferation. Plays roles in cardiac hypertrophy, VEGFA-induced angiogenesis, apoptosis, and inflammatory response. Phosphorylates EGFR and RIN1, affecting Ras signaling and Golgi transport processes.
