The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

Endocytosis of cell surface proteins is mediated by a complex molecular machinery that assembles on the inner surface of the plasma membrane. This gene encodes one of two human homologs of the Drosophila melanogaster stoned B protein. The protein is associated with endocytic machinery and has a modular structure:

• N-terminal proline-rich domain
• Central region specific to human stoned B-like proteins
• C-terminal region homologous to mu subunits of adaptor protein (AP) complexes

Co-transcription of this gene and the neighboring downstream gene generates a rare transcript (SALF), encoding a fusion protein with shared sequences from each gene product.
