Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed in HEK293 cells. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin–free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody has specificity for Mouse EphB4.
Target Information
EPHB4 is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the ephrin receptor family. Members of the Eph family play key roles in biological processes such as nervous system development, angiogenesis, and synapse formation.
Ephrins are divided into two classes:
- Ephrin-A (EFNA): GPI-anchored membrane proteins
- Ephrin-B (EFNB): Transmembrane proteins
Eph receptors are categorized into two groups based on extracellular domain sequence similarity and ligand affinity. Ephrin receptors represent the largest subgroup of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) family.
EphB4 binds to ephrin-B2 and is essential for vascular development.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
