Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The LHX4 gene encodes a member of a large protein family containing the LIM domain, a cysteine-rich zinc-binding domain. This protein may function as a transcriptional regulator involved in the differentiation and development of the pituitary gland. Mutations in this gene are associated with syndromic short stature and defects in the pituitary and hindbrain. An alternative splice variant has been described, but its biological significance remains unclear.
