Product Specific Information
The B2D monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse ROR gamma (t) protein, a member of the retinoic acid-related orphan receptor (ROR) family. ROR gamma is expressed in various tissues including liver, lung, muscle, heart, and kidney. The isoform ROR gamma t is expressed exclusively in lymphoid cells such as CD4+CD8+ thymocytes, Th17 cells, and lymphoid tissue inducer (Lti) cells.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested with mouse thymocytes; ≤ 0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize antibody titration for best assay performance.
Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-57).
Excitation/Emission: 488–561 nm / 775 nm
Compatible Lasers: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green
Target Information
ROR gamma (NR1 Thyroid Hormone-Like receptor) influences thymopoiesis, bone metabolism, T-cell apoptosis, and lymphoid organogenesis. It promotes thymocyte survival via Bcl-x(L) activation and is essential for lymph node and Peyer’s patch development. The thymus-specific isoform ROR gamma(t) inhibits Fas ligand expression and cytokine secretion in immature thymocytes. ROR gamma binds to GGTCA motifs preceded by AT-rich sequences.
Expression documented in mouse thymus, adipose, bone, skeletal muscle, liver, kidney, and human skeletal muscle. ESTs identified from various human tissues including cancerous and normal samples.
Note: ROR gamma t (RORgt) is an isoform of RORC.
