  • Application Notes:
    • For ICC: Formaldehyde fixation and permeabilization with Triton-X 100 is recommended. Acetone fixation may adversely affect staining.
    • For IHC: Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.

Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histones, H3 binds to DNA to form nucleosomes, playing a crucial role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications of histone H3, including methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influence chromatin structure and gene expression. The N-terminal tail of H3 can undergo various modifications affecting cellular processes.
