In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-2, recombinant mouse IL-15, or recombinant human IL-21 is observed.
Target Information
IL-15 (Interleukin 15) is a cytokine involved in T and NK cell activation and proliferation. It shares receptor components with IL-2 and can regulate immune responses by competing for receptor binding. IL-15 activates JAK kinases and STAT3/5/6 transcription factors, influencing apoptosis inhibition and lymphocyte differentiation. It plays a key role in immune regulation, autoimmune disease pathogenesis, and inflammatory disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and pulmonary inflammation. IL-15 neutralization has shown therapeutic potential in models of psoriasis and diabetes.
