Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The second messengers cAMP and cGMP are key regulatory molecules involved in a wide variety of signal transduction pathways. Their levels are controlled by synthesis via nucleotide cyclases and hydrolysis via cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs).
PDE6 functions as the effector enzyme in the G protein-mediated signal transduction cascade of the visual system. It consists of multiple subunits: cone-specific catalytic subunit alpha’, rod-specific catalytic subunits alpha and beta, an inhibitory subunit gamma, and a delta subunit of unknown function.
The catalytic core forms alpha’/alpha’ homodimers (cone) or alpha/beta heterodimers (rod). The C-terminus of both catalytic and inhibitory subunits undergoes methylation, myristoylation, and prenylation, which are essential for proper complex assembly and membrane association.
