Target Information
TIMP-1과 TIMP-2는 기질 금속단백분해효소(matrix metalloproteinase) 계열의 억제 효소로, 결합 조직의 무결성 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. TIMP-2는 72 kDa Type IV collagenase (MMP-2, gelatinase A)의 전구체(pro form)와 활성형(active form) 모두에 높은 결합 친화성을 보이며, 92 kDa Type IV collagenase (MMP-9, gelatinase B)의 활성형에도 결합합니다. TIMP-2는 종양세포 및 정상 태반 영양막세포의 단백질 분해성 침습을 억제하는 기능을 가집니다.
