Target Information
APC7 is a conserved component of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a cell cycle-regulated E3 ubiquitin ligase essential for mitotic progression and G1 phase control.
APC/C mediates degradation of anaphase inhibitors, mitotic cyclins, and spindle-associated proteins, ensuring proper sequence of mitotic events.
APC7 is required for APC/C ubiquitination activity and interaction with transcription coactivators.
Expression levels of APC/C components are consistent across most tissues and cell lines, indicating their function as part of a complex.
