This antibody detects endogenous BRP44L protein at a molecular weight of approximately 12 kDa.

Target Information
BRP44L (brain protein 44-like protein), also known as HSPC040 or CGI-129, is a 109 amino acid mitochondrial protein belonging to the UPF0041 family. The gene encoding BRP44L is located on human chromosome 6, which contains around 1,200 genes across 170 million base pairs.
Chromosome 6 is associated with various diseases and genetic conditions, including:
- Early onset intestinal cancer (q arm deletion)
- Porphyria cutanea tarda (HFE gene mutation)
- Parkinson’s disease (PARK2 gene)
- Rheumatic diseases (MHC complex genes)
- Stickler syndrome, 21-hydroxylase deficiency, maple syrup urine disease, and bipolar disorder susceptibility loci
