Target Information
Caspase-12는 세포사멸(apoptosis)의 세 번째 경로인 소포체(ER) 스트레스 경로에 관여하는 단백질입니다. ER에 국한되어 있으며, 칼슘 항상성 교란 등 ER 스트레스에 의해 활성화되어 ER 스트레스 유도 세포사멸을 매개합니다. 또한 알츠하이머병 관련 단백질(γ-secretase presenilin, β-amyloid precursor protein)과 공위치하며, amyloid-β에 의해 유도되는 세포독성을 매개합니다. Caspase-12는 마우스의 다양한 조직에서 발현됩니다.
