This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Human FGF19/FGF-19.
Target Information
FGF19 (Fibroblast Growth Factor 19) is encoded by the FGF19 gene, located at 11q13.3. The 216-amino acid protein includes a signal sequence and conserved cysteine residues typical of the FGF family.
Expression of FGF19 is detected in fetal but not adult brain tissue. It interacts synergistically with Wnt-8c for inner ear development and stimulates hepatic protein and glycogen synthesis without inducing lipogenesis.
FGF19 acts independently of insulin or Akt, instead activating MAPK signaling pathways that enhance protein translation and glycogen synthase activity. The mouse ortholog, FGF15, shares ~50% amino acid identity and similar functions, collectively referred to as FGF15/19.
