Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

The TCN2 gene encodes a member of the vitamin B12-binding protein family (R binders), expressed in various tissues and secretions. This plasma protein binds cobalamin and mediates its transport into cells. Other related proteins, such as transcobalamin I and gastric intrinsic factor, likely evolved from a common ancestral gene.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
