Product Specific Information

  • In direct ELISAs, less than 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Notch-3 is observed.
  • Less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat Notch-1 and Notch-2.
  • Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
  • Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).

Target Information

NOTCH3 is the third discovered human homologue of the Drosophila melanogaster type I membrane protein notch. In Drosophila, notch interactions with ligands (delta, serrate) establish an intercellular signaling pathway essential for neural development.
Human homologues of these ligands have been identified, and NOTCH3 functions as a receptor for membrane-bound ligands Jagged1, Jagged2, and Delta1 to regulate cell fate determination.
Mutations in NOTCH3 are known to cause cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL).
