Target Information
Reg IV is a member of the regenerating gene (Reg) family within the C-type lectin superfamily. This family participates in liver, pancreatic, gastric, and intestinal cell proliferation and differentiation. Reg IV is a 158-amino acid secretory protein involved in cell regeneration and survival, with growth-stimulating effects on pancreatic beta cells. It is highly expressed in colorectal, gastric, prostate, and other cancers. Reg IV-positive tumor cells exhibit phenotypes such as mucus-secreting, enterocyte-like, and undifferentiated types.
