Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human NT-4. Anti-Human NT-4-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human NT-4 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human NT-4 (500-P83) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human NT-4.

Western Blot:
To detect Human NT-4 by Western Blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible development reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human NT-4 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

This gene belongs to the neurotrophic factor family (neurotrophins), which control survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. Expression of this gene is ubiquitous and less influenced by environmental signals. While knockouts of other neurotrophins (NGF, BDNF, NT-3) are lethal during early postnatal development, NTF5-deficient mice show minor cellular deficits and develop normally to adulthood.
