Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1) is a member of the B7 family. PD-L1 binds to its receptor PD-1, which negatively regulates T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. Upon PD-1 ligation, PD-L1 decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in many murine and human cancers and can be up-regulated by IFN-gamma stimulation. Therefore, PD-L1 plays an important role in tumor immune evasion.
