Target Information

The Eph subfamily represents the largest group of receptor protein tyrosine kinases identified to date. Although their biological functions are not fully determined, evidence suggests involvement in central nervous system function and development.
Eph receptors of human origin include EphA1–EphA8 and EphB1–EphB6. Ligands for these receptors include ephrin-A and ephrin-B family members such as ephrin-A2 (Elf-1), which binds EphA4, and ephrin-B2 (Htk-L), which binds EphB4.
