Target Information
The Eph subfamily represents the largest group of receptor protein tyrosine kinases identified to date. Although their biological roles are not fully elucidated, evidence suggests involvement in central nervous system function and development.
Eph receptors of human and homologous species include EphA1–A8 and EphB1–B6. Ligands for these receptors include ephrin-A4 (LERK-4), ephrin-A2 (Elf-1), ephrin-A3 (Ehk1-L), and ephrin-B2 (Htk-L), each binding specific Eph receptor subtypes.
