Target Information
RPS15A is a component of the 40S ribosomal subunit, which together with the 60S subunit forms the ribosome. The ribosome consists of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. The RPS15A protein belongs to the S8P family of ribosomal proteins and is located in the cytoplasm. As is typical for ribosomal protein genes, multiple processed pseudogenes of RPS15A are dispersed throughout the genome.
