This peptide corresponds to 16 amino acids near the amino terminus of human IL-34.
PEP-0705 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20585.
Target Information
IL-34 is secreted as a dimeric protein and currently belongs to no known cytokine family. It signals via the M-CSF Receptor (CSF-1R/CD115), which is shared with M-CSF. Although IL-34 has no amino acid sequence homology to M-CSF, they share similarities in secondary structure and overlapping functions. IL-34 promotes myeloid survival, proliferation, and differentiation, and plays a role in osteoclast formation. Expression is detected in various tissues, with highest abundance in the spleen.
