Target Information
The DP family contains at least two members, DP1 and DP2. Structurally, DP1 and DP2 are relatively conserved, but their expression appears to be tissue specific. E2F1, a functional target for the tumor suppressor protein Rb, heterodimerizes with DP1 to form an active E2F transcriptional complex. The interaction between E2F and DP family members is mediated in part by a leucine repeat that is weakly conserved between the two families.
