Product Description

Influenza is caused by three immunologic types of RNA viruses (A, B, and C) within the Orthomyxoviridae family. Seasonal influenza is typically caused by three major hemagglutinin subtypes (H1, H2, H3) and two neuraminidase subtypes (N1, N2).
A novel subtype of influenza A virus, pandemic H1N1 2009, was identified in Mexico and reported by CDC and WHO in April 2009. This virus transmits easily between humans, with 21 countries reporting cases within a month of identification.
Rapid diagnostic methods, case identification, and tracking are essential for managing and mitigating morbidity and mortality associated with H1N1 infections.

Storage Conditions and Product Stability

All kit components can be stored for 1 year after production without performance loss.
Store at -20°C upon arrival. Avoid repeated thawing and freezing (>2x) of Master Mix and Positive Control. For intermittent use, aliquot reagents before freezing.
