Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
The CXCR3 gene encodes a G protein-coupled receptor selective for three chemokines: IP10 (interferon-γ-inducible 10 kDa protein), Mig (monokine induced by interferon-γ), and I-TAC (interferon-inducible T cell α-chemoattractant). These chemokines belong to the CXC subfamily, characterized by a single amino acid separating the first two conserved cysteine residues.
Binding of chemokines to CXCR3 induces cellular responses involved in leukocyte trafficking, including integrin activation, cytoskeletal changes, and chemotactic migration. The receptor couples to Gi-class heterotrimeric G proteins, and signaling may involve cascades similar to other chemokine receptors.
This gene is expressed in effector/memory T cells and inflamed tissues, implicating it in inflammatory cell recruitment. Consequently, CXCR3 is a target for developing small-molecule antagonists for inflammatory disease treatment. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
