Description:
This B7H5DS8 monoclonal antibody recognizes human VISTA, also known as B7-H5 or PD-1H. This clone has been tested and shown not to cross-react with human B7-H4, B7-H6, and B7-H7. This antibody works in flow cytometry only on live, not paraformaldehyde-fixed cells.

Applications Tested:
Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test. A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

VISTA (V-domain Ig containing suppressor of T-cell activation), also known as B7-H5 or PD-1H, is encoded by the VSIR gene. Despite sequence homology with PD-L1, VISTA has a distinct expression pattern. In both mouse and human, it is predominantly expressed on hematopoietic cells—highest on myeloid cells, lower on T cells, and usually absent on B cells. VISTA on antigen-presenting cells suppresses CD4 and CD8 T-cell proliferation and cytokine production, making it a target for cancer immunotherapy. Known ligands include CD28H, VSIG-3, and VSIG-8.
