Stable

Conveniently packaged in 40-test vials to maintain dye stability over time.
Amine-reactive dyes in solution degrade quickly; use immediately after rehydration or aliquot and store at -80°C, avoiding freeze-thaw cycles.

Robust

Amine-reactive dye binds covalently to intracellular and extracellular amines, preserving staining patterns even after formaldehyde fixation.

Optimal Brightness

Excitation maximum: ~495 nm, emission: ~520 nm (FITC channel).
Provides bright green fluorescence with a blue (488 nm) laser, ideal for multi-color flow cytometry experiments.

How It Works

• Dead cells: Dye reacts with free amines inside and on the cell surface → intense fluorescence.
• Live cells: Dye reacts only with surface amines → weak fluorescence.
  Intensity difference typically exceeds 50-fold, enabling clear discrimination.
