Target Information
DDX1 (ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX1) functions as an ATP-dependent RNA helicase capable of unwinding both RNA-RNA and RNA-DNA duplexes. It exhibits single-stranded RNA overhang nuclease and ATPase activities on RNA substrates. DDX1 acts as a coactivator with RELA to enhance NF-κB-mediated transcriptional activation and positively regulates cyclin CCND2 expression by binding to its promoter region. It is also part of a multi-helicase-TICAM1 complex serving as a cytoplasmic sensor of viral double-stranded RNA, initiating antiviral responses and proinflammatory cytokine induction via TICAM1.
