Product Specific Information
- Antibody is tested in direct ELISA.
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
CD73 (Ecto-5'-nucleotidase, 5'-ribonucleotide phosphohydrolase) catalyzes the conversion of purine 5'-mononucleotides to nucleosides, with AMP as the preferred substrate.
It forms a dimer of two identical 70 kDa subunits anchored to the plasma membrane via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol linkage.
CD73 serves as a marker of lymphocyte differentiation, and its deficiency is associated with various immunodeficiency diseases.
Defects in the CD73 gene can lead to joint and arterial calcification and intestinal tuberculosis.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms of CD73 have been identified.
The CD73 gene is localized to chromosome 6q14–q21.
