Target Information
Chromatin organization plays a fundamental role in regulating transcription in eukaryotic cells. The nuclear receptor corepressor (N-CoR) and silencing mediator of retinoid and thyroid hormone receptors (SMRT) are involved in transcriptional repression pathways. These complexes recruit histone deacetylases such as HDAC3 to generate repressive chromatin. TBLR1 is a WD-40 repeat protein that associates with N-CoR and SMRT complexes, though its precise role remains to be elucidated.
