Product Specific Information
The monoclonal rat IgG1, kappa (clone eBRG1) is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
This antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells.
Isotype control should be used at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
Pacific Orange emits at 551 nm and is excited with the violet laser line (405 nm). Ensure that your instrument supports detection of this fluorochrome.

Target Information
Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies commonly used in research and diagnostics. These antibodies, produced by rats in response to antigens, can be purified from serum or hybridoma supernatants.
Rat IgG1 is often used as a negative control in experiments, as it does not bind to many mammalian antigens. It is applicable in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting to detect specific antigens.
Gene targeting in rats enables generation of animal models for studying human diseases by knocking out, inserting, or modifying specific genes to investigate their roles in disease mechanisms.
