For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CRP (C-reactive protein) is a major cyclic, pentameric acute-phase protein composed of five identical, noncovalently bound, nonglycosylated subunits.
Each subunit consists of 206 amino acids with a molecular weight of 24 kDa.
CRP is produced by the liver, and its plasma levels rise dramatically during inflammatory processes.
It initiates the classical complement cascade, binds nuclear components (chromatin, histones, etc.), and plays a key role in innate immunity.
CRP acts as an opsonin and activates monocytes/macrophages, functioning as a scavenger during cell necrosis.
Elevated basal levels of CRP are associated with increased risk of hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
