Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
TRH-R is a 398 amino acid integral membrane protein with six transmembrane domains and belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. It acts as a receptor for the signaling hormone TRH and activates the inositol phospholipid–calcium–protein kinase C transduction pathway upon TRH binding. TRH-R functions as a neurotransmitter and neuroregulator that controls receptor dimerization and hormone-induced trafficking. It is widely expressed in thyrotroph cells of the anterior pituitary.
