Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
This gene belongs to the UBA domain family, which includes proteins associated with ubiquitin and the ubiquitination pathway. The ubiquitin-associated domain is a non-covalent ubiquitin-binding domain consisting of a compact three-helix bundle. The ABCD1 protein originates from a gene locus on chromosome 9, which shows loss of heterozygosity in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Considering its cytogenetic location, this gene is studied as a potential mutation target in NPC. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
