Target Information
GAD65 (glutamic acid decarboxylase-65)는 자가면역 질환, 특히 인슐린 의존성 제1형 당뇨병(IDDM), Stiff-man syndrome, 다선성 자가면역 질환 등에서 발견됩니다.
GAD65에 대한 자가항체는 새로 진단된 IDDM 환자의 약 60–70%에서 검출되며, 질병 활성의 중요한 지표로 사용됩니다.
이 항체들은 주로 GAD65의 구조 의존적 영역을 인식하며, GAD67에는 드물게 결합합니다.
GAD67에 대한 자가항체는 약 15%의 최근 발병 IDDM 환자에서 발견되며, 대부분 GAD65와의 공통 epitope에 의해 차단됩니다.
