PA3-213 detects PACAP type 1A receptor in rat and mouse samples.
PA3-213 has successfully been used in Western blot and immunohistochemical (paraffin) procedures.
The PA3-213 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal of rat PAC1 (503-523) CLSKSSSQLRMSSLPADNLAT coupled to KLH.

Target Information

This gene encodes type I adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide receptor, a membrane-associated protein sharing significant homology with members of the glucagon/secretin receptor family.
This receptor mediates diverse biological actions of adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide 1 and is positively coupled to adenylate cyclase.
Alternative splicing of two exons generates four major splice variants, though their full-length nature has not been determined.
PACAP receptor type 1 expression has been documented in adipose, adrenal, bone, brain, colon, ganglion, heart, lung, ovary, pancreas, placenta, spleen, and uterus. ESTs have been isolated from brain and nerve libraries.
