Target Information
The approximately 142 kDa Tankyrase protein is ubiquitously expressed in mammalian cells and localized to human telomeres. It shares homology with ankyrins and the catalytic domain of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). Tankyrase binds to TRF1 (telomeric repeat binding factor-1), which negatively regulates telomere length maintenance.
