Product Specific Information

The PC61.5 antibody reacts with mouse CD25, the 55 kDa interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain (IL-2Rα). CD25 is expressed by early T/B progenitors and activated mature lymphocytes. It binds IL-2 with low affinity alone but forms a high-affinity receptor when associated with CD122 and CD132.
Binding of IL-2 to its receptor is inhibited by PC61.5 antibody, which plays a role in lymphocyte differentiation and activation.

Target Information

CD25 (IL2RA) encodes the IL-2 receptor alpha chain, a cytokine receptor involved in T and B cell proliferation. The high-affinity IL-2 receptor complex includes IL2RA, IL2RB, and IL2RG. IL2 primarily produced by mature T cells acts as a growth and differentiation factor and regulates cell death.
Mutations in IL2RA are linked to immune dysregulation disorders such as ulcerative colitis-like disease in mice.
