Fibroblast Growth Factor 23(FGF23)는 섬유아세포 성장 인자(FGF) 계열의 단백질로, 다양한 생물학적 과정(배아 발달, 세포 성장, 형태형성, 조직 재생, 종양 성장 및 침윤)에 관여합니다. 이 단백질은 신장 세뇨관의 인산염 수송을 억제하며, 유전적 변이에 의해 상염색체 우성 저인산혈증성 구루병과 같은 인산염 대사 이상 질환과 관련이 있습니다. 또한 종양성 저인산혈증성 골연화증 및 가족성 종양성 석회증에서도 FGF23 발현 이상이 보고되었습니다.
