Product Specific Information

The N418 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD11c (integrin alphaX), which associates with beta2 integrin to form the CD11c/CD18 heterodimer. CD11c is expressed by dendritic cells, intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes (IEL), and some activated T cells. It binds to CD54, iC3b, and fibrinogen, playing a role in leukocyte adhesion.

Each product contains:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported:
Suitable for flow cytometric analysis. Internal testing shows NovaFluor Yellow 570 may non-specifically stain B cells in SJL mice, but not in BALB/c or C57BL/6 mice.

Applications Tested:
Validated by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Use ≤ 0.4 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize antibody titration for best performance.

Compatibility Notes:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer Usage:
Required for optimal staining with NovaFluor conjugates. Add 5 µL per sample or per 100 µL cell suspension.

NovaFluor Technology:
Based on Phiton™ technology utilizing nucleic acid dye structures engineered for minimal spillover and improved spectral separation.

Target Information

CD11 proteins (CD11a, CD11b, CD11c) form heterodimers with CD18 to create adhesion molecules.

• CD11a: Expressed in B/T lymphocytes, macrophages, monocytes, neutrophils, basophils, eosinophils
• CD11b: Expressed in monocytes, macrophages, NK cells, some B/T cells, granulocytes
• CD11c: Found in monocytes, macrophages, NK cells, some granulocytes, and certain lymphocyte subsets
