Target Information

PIP5K1C (phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate 5-kinase 1 gamma) is a lipid kinase that phosphorylates phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate to form phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate.
It is localized at synapses and involved in endocytosis and cell migration.
PIP5K1C associates with β-catenin and enhances its activity downstream of growth factor stimulation, promoting nuclear import and transcriptional activity.
Deficiency of PIP5K1C impairs neutrophil recruitment due to adhesion defects, regulating adhesion via RhoA GTPase and integrin activation by chemoattractants.
