Target Information
MAPK7 (ERK5) serine/threonine kinase는 MAP kinase 계열에 속하며, 세포 증식, 분화, 전사 조절, 발달 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다.
MAPK7은 MAP2K5/MEK5에 의해 활성화되며, 다양한 수용체의 하위 신호전달 과정에 참여합니다.
세포 외 신호에 반응하여 MAPK7은 세포핵으로 이동하여 여러 전사 인자를 인산화 및 활성화함으로써 유전자 발현을 조절합니다.
마우스에서 MAPK7 유전자가 결실되면 혈관 및 심장 발달에 결함이 생겨 배아 치명성을 유발합니다.
MAPK7은 내피 기능 유지와 혈관 무결성 유지에 필수적이며, 심장, 태반, 폐, 신장, 골격근 등에서 풍부하게 발현되고 간에서는 거의 검출되지 않습니다.
