Target Information

EB1 family proteins are evolutionarily conserved proteins that bind microtubule plus-ends and centrosomes, regulating the dynamics and organization of microtubules.
The MAPRE genes encode the EB1 family proteins: MAPRE1, MAPRE2, and MAPRE3, which code for EB1, RP1, and EBF3 proteins, respectively.
EB1 family members are ubiquitously expressed. The EB1 (MAPRE1) gene, located at 20q11.2, can be fused to MLL in adult pro-B acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
EB1 is a microtubule-associated protein that interacts with the APC tumor-suppressor protein, playing key roles in regulating microtubule dynamics, cell polarity, and chromosome stability.
