Mouse anti-Bovine CD205 antibody, clone IL-A114 recognizes bovine CD205 (also known as DEC205) and was originally described as BoWC6.
Target Information
CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is an integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation that enhances antigen-specific T cell immunity.
CD205 is highly expressed by CD8+ dendritic cells (DCs) and variably expressed by bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, bone marrow-derived DCs (BMDC), and thymic epithelial cells.
It acts as an endocytic receptor that directs captured antigens toward specialized antigen processing regions and can reduce B lymphocyte proliferation.
Diseases associated with CD205 dysfunction include pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
