Antibody detects endogenous levels of ROS1 only when phosphorylated at Tyr2274.
Target Information
ROS1 is a tyrosine kinase that functions as a growth or differentiation factor receptor.
Protein kinases transfer a phosphate group from ATP to substrate proteins, mediating signal transduction in eukaryotic cells.
They regulate cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement, cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation.
The protein kinase family includes over 500 gene products, classified into 8 major groups based on catalytic domain sequences:
- Tyrosine kinases (TK)
- Serine/threonine kinases (STK)
The TK group mainly regulates cell-cell interactions such as differentiation, adhesion, motility, and death.
Approximately 90 TK genes have been sequenced, including:
- 58 receptor TKs (EGFR, EPH, FGFR, PDGFR, TRK, VEGFR families)
- 32 cytosolic TKs (ABL, FAK, JAK, SRC families)
