Target Information
Phospholipase A-2-activating protein (PLAA), also known as PLAP, interacts with ubiquitin and is involved in maintaining ubiquitin levels. PLAA contains multiple consensus domains including WD repeats, PFU domain, and PUL domain. Although its function remains unclear, ubiquitin binding of PLAA may play a central role connecting ubiquitination and degradation in ERAD. Recent studies suggest PLAA acts as a novel nociceptive mediator after incision, with expression regulated by miR-203.
